With extensive experience in live audio, Matt has supported vibrant worship services as a Worship Director, managed sound for the City of Carlsbad’s popular TGIF Concerts in the Park as part of the Concert Crew, and handled live sound at Mira Costa Community College. His hands-on work across these diverse settings has strengthened his skills in creating clear, balanced, and engaging audio experiences for a variety of audiences.
Mira Costa Live Audio
At Mira Costa College, Matt takes charge of live audio production by generating stage plots and input lists, coordinating with bands, and organizing technical teams. He manages stage setup, live mixing, and recording directly into Pro Tools. Experienced with top-tier consoles such as the Avid S6L-32D-144, Avid Venue, Soundcraft GB4, Behringer X32, Yamaha M7CL, and Mackie 1604, Matt handles everything from micing and running lines to monitor mixing, ensuring smooth and professional sound for every event.
Carlsbad Concert Crew
Matt worked as part of the crew for the City of Carlsbad’s TGIF Concerts in the Park series, helping set up and strike the Stageline SL100 mobile stage. His role included PA and lighting rigging, crowd control, backstage coordination, and working closely with artists and production leads to ensure smooth, safe, and professional shows.
Worship & Production Leadership
Matt served as Worship Director at Las Flores Church of the Nazarene, Grace and Peace Church, and Point Loma Nazarene University, blending technical expertise with team leadership. His work included budgeting and installing professional audio systems, programming X32 consoles, operating Ableton Live, and managing live streaming via OBS and Restream. He trained AV staff, led volunteer teams, and handled recording and editing. With Point Loma, he also toured across 10+ cities, managing mobile PA systems and live audio at diverse venues.
